How to request deletion

Email hq@howdylah.com with the subject “Howdylah data deletion request”. This is a support-assisted process; no automatic deletion button is currently available.

1. Use your account email where possible.
2. Identify whether you want account closure, removal from a workspace, deletion of particular customer records or closure of a whole workspace.
3. Include the workspace ID if known and a brief description. Do not send passwords, tokens or identity documents in your initial email.

Verification and authority

We aim to acknowledge requests within three working days. We check account control and workspace authority before deleting anything. Whole-workspace closure requires a verified administrator’s instruction. If the requester is the last administrator, we first confirm a transfer of responsibility or the intention to close the whole workspace. Customers of a business using Howdylah should also contact that business about records it controls.

Scope and timing

After verification, our procedure is to remove authorised primary records within 30 calendar days, subject to applicable legal requirements and justified retention exceptions that we explain. Scope may include account information, memberships, messages, attachments, knowledge and associated processing records. We stop relevant workflow processing and review saved execution records and support copies to avoid leaving unnecessary duplicates.

Individual account closure does not automatically delete a business’s shared conversation history or other members’ accounts. We can discuss an appropriate export before irreversible deletion. We confirm completion and explain any information retained and why.

Backups and third parties

Backups expire according to the configured schedules of the relevant hosting providers; they are not necessarily immediately or selectively erased. Deleted records must be suppressed again if a backup is restored. Independent copies on recipients’ devices, Meta’s systems or other organisations’ records are outside our direct deletion control.

Google and Facebook access

You can remove Howdylah’s connection in your Google or Facebook account settings. Removing that connection stops the associated provider access but does not itself delete previously stored Howdylah records. Email us for deletion of those records.
